Italian term or phrase: che devono procedere all'annullamento
Within a stamp field inserted at the top of a university transcript.

"L'imposta è a carico del richiedente o del destinatario del certificato, che devono procedere all'annullamento ai sensi dell'art. 12 del D.P.R. ottobre 1972 n. 642."

I am aware of the literal translation of this term, but would a literal translation work here? I do not see, even after reading up on this article, if "cancellation" could be correct here, as I cannot find anything about cancelling within the certificate itself, so this is as much for my own interest as the term translation.
