Looking for a translation of the word "Präsidialbereich" for a German Federal Office (one level below ministry). So there are various Abteilungen (departments) and then there is the "Präsidialbereich" (presidium?) which, apart from President and Vice President encompasses several "Referate" (called Präsidialbereich 1,2 etc.) and a total of maybe 50 ppl working there. Those Referate are basically at the same level as the Departments, but report directly to the President's Office. So this Präsidialbereich encompasses sth like 50 ppl.

| Thanks for pointing this out. May I say though that I'm talking about a Bundesamt, not the Bundestag, and not about the room but the denomination of a unit in the organisational structure, so I do think there is a difference, would you not say? |
