Zusammenfassung
Gastrulation bezeichnet eine Phase der frühen Embryonalentwicklung. In der Maus entsteht dabei aus dem bis dahin einschichtigen, zylinderförmigen Embryo ein dreischichtiger Keim aus Ektoderm, Mesoderm und Entoderm. Gleichzeitig werden die Körperachsen und der Grundbauplan festgelegt.

Abstract
Gastrulation is an important phase of early embryogenesis. It is during this phase that the three germ layers arise – ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm – and the primary body axes and basic body plan are established. In the mouse, gastrulation begins when the primitive streak forms in the cylindrical embryo.
