How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Exactement ! C'est ce que je dis. Il y a des différences !
La liste est: Crème glacée, glace de lait, glace d'eau, sorbet (*), gel.
(*) pour sorbet/sherbet, je n'ai pas la réponse. Au Royaume Uni, ces termes sont synonymes.

Après réflexion, je pense que "lait congelé" et "eau congelée" seraient probablement plus élégants.
Je ne crois pas. Ça fait plusieurs brevets que je traduis pour ce client et il y a à chaque fois une différence quand les termes sources sont différents. |

: @ BDF: 'ice-cream' = 'crème glacée' specifically involves freezing a kind of cream or custard; but you can also have a water-ice or a milk-ice (though the latter is less common in the UK, except cf some kinds of lolly)

In my own view, if someone chooses not to submit an actual answer, I have no compunction about doing so, though I usually acknowledge their prior contribution (assuming I have seen it!) and invite them to post an answer instead and I will delete mine (unless it contains other useful information (e.g. research or personal knowledge) that it would be a shame to lose).
It sometimes happens that I open a question in a tab and start answering it, then something distracts me, and I only finish and submit my answer some time later; it can happen that a fresh discussion post has come in in the meantime, which I therefore might not have spotted.
I think it is particularly important to post an answer where another sub-optimal answer has been submitted, to avoid the possibility of the robot accepting the only submitted answer and thus "polluting" the archives with what may not be the best solution.

Modération ? A vrai dire, aider du point de vue des traductions en fournissant une explication utile m'intéresse plus que de gagner un point à ce stade, mais c'est bien aussi de traiter tout le monde de la même façon. Et si Florence veut absolument ce point, elle peut l'avoir. Personnellement, je ne vais pas me battre pour ça.
