a lotus flower/a Chinese milk vetch

蓮華 and 蓮華草 are flower. The first 蓮華(れんげ) is ハスの花. The second one's proper name is 蓮華草(れんげそう),but we often just call it れんげ.
The first れんげ/a lotus flower is often connected with Buddism.
The other possibe maening for レンゲ is a China spoon.(use for ramen, etc.)

brick

レンゲin Katakana can also mean "Brick"
Although it's more likely the meaning is lotus flower, I thought I'd over this alternative meaning just in case it happens to fit your context. :-)
