Não sei como traduziu "dipper", emntão, seguindo os colegas, assumi que seja palavra do gênero feminino: içada.

Deixei "bank" como "margem"; se tiver certeza a margem do rio é em barranco, pode-se usar esse termo tb.

River banks, right bank, left bank: margens do rio, margem direita, margem esquerda.

PS. Me ocorreu agora que o assunto pode não ter nada a ver com rios ou lagos, não é? O "bank" do original poderia ser um monturo de detritos, por exemplo, que se deseja escavar. Se é esse o caso, então mudaria para "puxada/o, içado/a através do monte/banco", coincidindo, creio, com a sugestão dada pelo colega Gasques.
