Sudirectorate General of Financial Inspection / Assets and Various Matters Explanation: I think this stands for: Subdirección General de Inspección Financiera and Patrimonio y Asuntos Diversos You'll probably be able to improve on the translation. As I'm sure you know, Spanish ministries are reorganised quite frequently and 1993 was a long time ago, so it's very difficult to pin down what this might stand for. Economía and Hacienda were a single ministry for a long time but they're now separate. Anyway, there is available online what I think must be the relevant royal decree on the organisational structure of the Ministerio de Economía y Hacienda at this time. It's from 1991, and I think the next one was 1996. Real Decreto 755/1991, de 10 de mayo, de reforma parcial de la estructura orgánica básica del Ministerio de Economía y Hacienda. https://www.boe.es/buscar/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1991-11538 Real Decreto 1884/1996, de 2 de agosto, de estructura orgánica básica del Ministerio de Economía y Hacienda. https://www.boe.es/buscar/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1996-18074 In 1991 there was a section of the ministry called the Dirección General del Tesoro y Política Financiera. It had several subdirecciones generales, one of which was the Subdirección General de Inspección Financiera. See article 5. This is the only body I can find at this time that fits the initials S.G.I.F. By 1996 it had disappeared; its functions were now performed by the Subdirección General de Legislación y Política Financiera. As for Patrimonio y A.D., all I can find is Patrimonio y Asuntos Diversos. It's not mentioned in the 1991 or 1995 decrees, but it does come up in a 1985 order: "Orden de 7 de enero de 1985 por la que se desarrollan los Reales Decretos 2335/1983, de 4 de agosto, y 221/1984, de 8 de febrero, de estructura orgánica de la Secretaría General de Hacienda y Centros directivos y Unidades administrativas de ella dependientes." https://www.boe.es/buscar/doc.php?id=BOE-A-1985-884 Sorry about the caps but it's printed like this: "4.8 SERVICIO DE PATRIMONIO Y ASUNTOS DIVERSOS. LE COMPETE LA PREPARACION DE INFORMES SOBRE CESIONES, DONACIONES, PERMUTAS Y REVERSIONES DE BIENES PATRIMONIALES, ABINTESTATOS Y DEMAS MATERIAS REGULADAS EN LA LEY DE PATRIMONIO DEL ESTADO, CONOCER Y, EN SU CASO, DIRIGIR LA ACCION DE INTERPOSICION DE RECURSOS Y RECLAMACIONES DE LOS DELEGADOS DE LA INTERVENCION GENERAL, ASI COMO PREPARAR LA TRAMITACION DE AQUELLOS QUE EL INTERVENTOR GENERAL HUBIERA DE PRESENTAR. TAMBIEN LE CORRESPONDE EL ESTUDIO Y PREPARACION DE LAS PROPUESTAS DE CONTESTACION A LAS CONSULTAS FORMULADAS QUE NO TIENEN CABIDA EN LAS COMPETENCIAS DE LOS DEMAS SERVICIOS. SE ESTRUCTURA EN LAS SIGUIENTES SECCIONES: SECCION DE ASUNTOS DIVERSOS, CON DOS NEGOCIADOS. SECCION DE PATRIMONIO, CON DOS NEGOCIADOS. 4.9 PARA LA SUPERVISION Y COORDINACION DE LOS DOS SERVICIOS ANTERIORES SE CREA EL AREA DE PATRIMONIO Y ASUNTOS DIVERSOS, QUE ESTARA A CARGO DE UN JEFE CON NIVEL ASIMILADO A CONSEJERO TECNICO." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2018-10-07 21:28:47 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 1991 must have been a mid-term reorganisation in the PSOE's third administration (1989-93). 1996 was when the PP won the general election (in March), so naturally they would have reorganised the ministries; new governments nearly always do. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2018-10-07 21:36:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- It won't be long now :-) |
