Istilah yang sudah populer sebagai padanan 'bagi hasil' adalah 'profit sharing.'

Pattern 'maro' is the most profitable pattern for penyakap among other revenue sharing scheme,. i.e. 'merempat' and 'mertelu' whose existence faded. (Rachman, Supiyati, & Supena, 2005). In maro system, landowners are obliged to provide land, labor, manure, and fertilizers, while the tenants provide superior seeds and medicines (Saptana & Friyatno, 2003). A common system of sakap is maro system whereby all production facilities are the responsibility of penyakap.
