I’m talking about the Working Families Party, the labor-backed, New York-based third party now in nine states. It has used so-called fusion voting (which lets candidates run on multiple ballot lines) here to push Democrats leftward, and to provide the ones it backs with the grassroots energy and campaign logistics help the bigger party no longer does.
