La viscosité d’une huile multigrade varie beaucoup moins en fonction de la température, que celle d’une huile monograde. Suffisamment fluide à temps froid pour permettre un bon démarrage et une lubrification immédiate, sa viscosité reste également suffisamment haute pour assurer un film d’huile permanent.
