: This is a Service BEFORE a case goes to Court, which decides whether there is enough evidence, if it goes to Court, it will have a successful outcome. See discussion. It is NOT an after-judgement enforcement unit, as said.

: It is not the entire Crown Prosecutor Service. At most, it is the pre-trial division/department/section/service of the Crown Prosecutor Service, but this would apply in the UK only - but not everywhere because some UK courts have pre-trial divisions, too.

Your comment that in the USA, the service which predetermines whether a case should be referred to Court, is called a 'Prosecution Service', is highly inaccurate. It is true only in some cases. I recommend that you read the following links:

In (1) you are suggesting an 'after' judgement action( after judgement units
enforce cases which already have a judgement against them)
In (2) You are proposing a Pre-Trial, that is a 'pre-judgement' action.
Whatever you say, you cannot dispute the fact that in the UK and in the USA, the service which predetermines whether a case should be referred to Court, is called a 'Prosecution Service'. This is delivered by the 'Crown' ( aka 'The Government'). And yes, the Prosecution Service is INTERNALLY divided into, for example, the 'Crime Prosecution Service', sending CRIMES to Court, or the 'Public Prosecution Service'.
