I'm not sure what this means.

Não descobri se existe um termo médico para isso."Reduction of heart size" tem mais de 30.000 ocorrências no Google.

Note o uso da palavra "redução" no mesmo parágrafo. Acredito que realmente tenha a ver com a redução do diâmetro cardíaco.
