English term

the scope necessary for the co-operation

English to Spanish Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Confidentiality
Hi there!

I'm translating a confidentiality contract and I came across with this phrase:... "the scope necessary for the cooperation"... in the below context:

With the exception of the scope necessary for the co-operation, which is the reason of concluding this Contract, both parties undertake not to duplicate confidential information of the other party in any way, not to hand it over to a third party or to their own employees and representatives, with the exception of those, who need to be familiar with it in order to fulfil this Contract.

I guess it means something like "only for the purposes of cooperation" and I translated it in Spanish as:" Salvo por motivos de cooperación"... but I'm not satisfied with this translation. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I would suggest combining the translation of the posted and subsequent phrase, as follows:

With the exception of the scope necessary for the co-operation, which is the reason of concluding this Contract
=
Fuera del ámbito de la colaboración que constituye el motivo de la celebración del presente Contrato
