Spanish translation: muestras tomadas al azar

English to Spanish translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Health Care / Salud poblacional
English term or phrase: Randomly drawn samples
Randomly drawn samples must have two characteristics:
§ Every person has an equal opportunity to be selected for the sample and
§ Selection of one person is independent of the selection of another person.
What is great about random samples is that you can generalize to the population that
you are interested in.

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
disagree  Neil Ashby: This has changed the subject to the method ("random sampling") instead of the "samples". "Muestreo aleatorio must have two characteristics" - doesn't work because the characteristics are of the samples and not the sampling method.
