This is what happened: I first contemplated BMarc's info.
This led me to believe they meant something like: 'De klier past binnen het plaatje van een lymfoom'.

And you know what, it was only then that I checked van Dale and I was kind of amazed to find: kaderen = fit in with

The Dutch synonymous meaning of 'kaderen' is given there as 'passen in'.

So what they say in brief terms is "de klier past bij (in het plaatje van) lymfoom"

...I would paraphrase it like this:

This last sentence a bit more formal and a bit more spelled out:

The use of the article 'the' suggests that patient is already known with lymphoma and the PET scan was performed for staging the disease. This means they are looking for other sites of lymphoma elsewhere in the body, with the exact location(s) of additional sites being decisive for staging the disease as II, III or IV. If biopsy was indicated but not performed, I reckon this particular lymph node must have shown enough FDG uptake for the radiologist to conclude that it is actually affected by the disease, too. 'Consistent with lymphoma' is definitely not wrong. I think you would do very well to use that phrase. It is actually a standard phrase used very often in diagnostic imaging. A (simpler) alternative would be: 'the lymph node appears affected" or "the lymph node appears involved". ('Klier' in an imaging study relating to cancer is almost invariably short for 'lymfeklier'.)

Hmm, I was actually just now thinking along the lines of "is consistent with".

sth like: "The gland is consistent with lymphoma."

In any case, raar Nederlands, if you ask me.

I have zero medical knowledge, so no idea really. Although it looks like the Dutch text got it backwards. Wouldn't sth like
"The lymphoma is present/visible within the gland." make more sense.?
