"Son représentant a interrogé la situation des capacités appelées des centrales thermiques de Place, Place et Place. Des éclaircissements ont été sollicités sur le nombre de transformateurs perdus alors même que le premier semestre 2016 n'est pas encore clos. Par ailleurs, il s'est interrogé sur la pertinence des mesures d'urgence préconisées par Company XYZ au titre de la réhabilitation des postes sources, évaluées à [amount] milliards de FCFA. Il a ajouté que le paiement de la redevance d'eau due au titre de l'étiage 2016 reste attendu."

@ Asker Alone, the term is technically ambiguous; certainly, a 'poste (de transformation)' is a '(transformer) substation' — but sadly, other types of 'poste...' also exist. You may need to look for clues elsewhere in your document, or see if it is ever named — or if the worst comes to the worst, I'm afraid you might have to "ask the customer" — the potential for a serious translation error is just too great to risk guessing.

neutral Tony M : Yes, it is certainly ONE of the possible terms used; however, various other kinds of 'poste' are also used, so it is dangerous to make assumptions without knowing the precise context.
