@ Asker It seems as though you may be getting confused in your parsing — and the soyrce text doesn't really help! You need to read this as 'paid/organic efforts' — the '/' would better suggest the 'or', rather than reading 'paid-organic' as some kind of compound noun!

they are talking about paid leads SEA (ads, expensive)
combined with Organic or SEO leads (Search Optimisation Engines) free in principle but needs a lot of effort in selecting the right key words and also service providers that improve the results of the search of your brand in Google for instance.
The marketing tendency right now is do to both, well this is Google's strategy.
FX explanation is very good but i prefer my formulation.
Of course they would like to have more leads coming from SEO (free but time consuming, and needs a special touch) and less coming from SEA (paying keywords) that depending on the type of contract you get may become very expensive.
