Lirka (asker) Mar 16, 2016:
I glossed PRN ( pro re nata) It means "as necessary" and it is the usual abbrev.
Dr. Johanna Schmitt Mar 15, 2016:
@ Johanna Timm :-) Bitte als Antwort posten :-) !
Lirka (asker) Mar 15, 2016:
Johanna-- perfekt, danke, das ist es! Bitte als Antwort posten :)
Anne Schulz Mar 14, 2016:
Dr. Johanna Schmitt Mar 14, 2016:
@Johanna :-) Ja, "bedarfsweise" klingt plausibel :-)!
Johanna Timm, PhD Mar 14, 2016:
bedarfsweise würde ich denken, wie die andere Johanna :-)
Lirka (asker) Mar 14, 2016:
Johanna, this is the entire sentence it's a PDF, so no OCR error, plus it occurs twice in the text, same thing.
Dr. Johanna Schmitt Mar 14, 2016:
Is this the complete... ..."sentence", or is there following something like "nach Bedarf"?
Maybe it is a typo for "bzw.", like "2 Hübe bzw. bei Bedarf auch mehr?"

bedarfsweise - as necessary

Ok, I'm posting it, but credit goes to the other Johanna for the inspiration.
Gemeinsam für freie Nasen! :-)

"Two or three drops should be used in each nostril two to three times a day as necessary."

[caveat: I did not find an "official" reference that linked bdw.= bedarfsweise]
Note from asker:
sorry, PRN of course!

both sides, both nostrils

in case it should read bds. (beidseitig/bilat).

Is it perhaps followed by a tgl.?

w and s are next to one another on keyboard
