French term

prise de décisions stratégiques nécessaires

Non-PRO French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Les gestionnaires du projet ont inclus l'outil dès les premières prises de décisions stratégiques nécessaires à l’exécution d’un projet d’une telle envergure

From the start, the Project Managers included this tool "in their strategic decision-making required" to carry out a project of this scale.

I'm having trouble with the middle of this sentence... the required part, mostly. Any help, guys? Thanks!
Change log

Jan 11, 2016 08:20: David Hayes changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): philgoddard, mchd, David Hayes

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

disagree Daryo : the end result may be the same but the ST is putting the stress on a different aspect i.e. "from the beginning ..." - I don't see the need to in effect change the sentence.

taking the first strategic decisions required for ...

This really needs some rephrasing:

... from the time of taking the first strategic decisions required for ...

... from when the first strategic decisions required for ... were taken

Note that the ST does not mean that they "included this tool ... in their strategic decision-making"!

It's "**dès** les premières prises de décisions stratégiques", not "**dans** les premières prises de décisions stratégiques.
