Una de las pruebas es el de envejecimiento para lo cual se repiten ciclos de temperatura.
Ten en cuenta al traducir que la T (temperatura) debe ser escrita en mayúscula y "ai" (ageing=envejecimiento) debe aparecer como subíndice afectando a la "t".

Tai es la máxima temperatura, luego de los ciclos, de calentamiento/enfriamiento, para el cual la junta o sello no se deforma.

Es decir que es la máxima temperatura que soporta el sello sin deformarse.

neutral  Jennifer Levey: But I don't see how 'ai' can denote 'ageing'. What does the 'i' stand for?//You still haven't explained the origin/significance of 'i', and its relevance to Asker's question (BTW: we don't even know if this refers to polymer seals).

  -> "Ta" stands for the ageing temperature being tested, "Tai" stands for the maximum ageing temperature before deformation takes place. When buying seals, an engineer always looks for the "Tai" value of the polymer. At least I do.
