Italian term or phrase: lavorazione a taglio vivo
I'm translating descriptions of accessories for a fashion brand, these will appear on their online shop (this is pretty much all the context I have, save that sometimes an image of the item is provided). I have come across the expression "lavorazione a taglio vivo" in the description of a leather wallet, the whole expression is "lavorazione a taglio vivo con bordi in tinta". I have thought of the expressions "cut edge" or "unfinished edge" but from the image provided the edges look quite tidy, from what I can see (although the image is quite small).
Thank you in advance!

Explanation:
"a taglio vivo" means "Tutti i bordi vengono tinti a mano con una miscela di cera, resina e coloranti naturali ottenendo così una perfetta sigillatura".
Please refer to the explanation at the link provided.

I have also found "inked edge" here http://www.altascuolapelletteria.it/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Dizionario_Italiano-Inglese_della_pelletteria.pdf but I think they refer pretty much to the same thing! Thank you!
