Anyone knows whether in English there is a saying about how to tell whether the moon is waxing or waning? Thank you very much in advance!

No unfortunately there is no context, it's just a list of sayings! Thank you anyway, I think I will translate it literally!

@ Beatrice Is there a context to this? If there is could you post it? If not I would just translate it literally based on the fact that the "waxing and waning of the moon" is a sort of saying.

There is always this Nigerian proverb I have found:

"It is the same moon that wanes today that will be the full moon tomorrow."

But context is always going to be needed as any saying or proverb will be making some ulterior point.
