Explanation:
"Soil Build" means an improvement of soil structure. It is an amelioration, not a fertilization. Calcium sulphate (gypsum), for examle, can be used for this purpose (the first link below). This substance is not a "food" for plants, but it makes the soil condition more acceptable for plants.
I think that "melhoramento do solo" can be used to translate "soil build'. An example:
"... os mais recentes estudos sobre o uso do gesso para melhoramento do solo".
