Spanish term

registro febril

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general) physical exam
Hi all -

I am wondering how best to translate "registro febril." Below are three instances and note that it is even abbreviated to "un registro."

Se asume como VAP a MSSA. Completa 9 dias de tratamiento antibiótico endovenoso (total) (con de-escalamiento a Piperacilina-tazobactam), sin presentar nuevo registro febril y con disminución de parámetros inflamatorios.
El día 27/04/14 presentó un registro de 37.9°C:

And later on:
El paciente continuo en ARM internado en UTI con registros febriles y con inestabilidad hemodinámica con TA y FC variable,

Any suggestions?

Thanks much!

I did of course think of record, recorded, etc. However I am always suspicious when I see so few Google search results for a given phrase - in this case "recorded fever" only yields 2,970. I guess the conclusion to be drawn is that is good as a translation but it's not a catch phrase.
Joseph Tein Sep 4, 2014:
registro ... like Cristina says, ads the idea of a record made

the DRAE says: 21. m. Inform. Conjunto de datos relacionados entre sí, que constituyen una unidad de información en una base de datos.

It could also be recording, entry or record ... see the online Reverso dictionary
Cristina Gonzalez Sep 4, 2014:
No, it's just that they record the temperature every time they take it, especially if it is within "fever" parameters.
Michael Meskers (asker) Sep 4, 2014:
Question: Does the word "registro" add the idea of recurrence?

recorded fever

I would use "fever" where they are just using "registro"

agree Joseph Tein : I don't think you need "recurrence" ... I'd say "fever" is all he needs to put into his translation. //"nuevo" makes it "new" fever

maybe but there is the "nuevo" in the source text

Fever

Just plain fever would suffice.
Peer comment(s):

agree Joseph Tein : Yes ... this is all it needs for the translation to be correct and complete.
