My translation wasn't too bad after all! Thanks for Aziz's comment. Zeki's translation of the whole clause was more than helpful. Salih's rendering had a note which I think means 'This type of sentence 'ones' must be translated by the addition of the hidden subject, otherwise the literal meaning would not be appropriate in the Turkish language, I think'. I would value a translation into English. I added 'onun' in my translation. Is that the 'hidden subject' he refers to? Thanks, though to him as well.
