They don’t have all of the information needed by the CNC plasma, or laser, or waterjet machine. Those machines need to be told when to turn the process on and off, how to lead-in & lead-out from the part, how much kerf offset to use, etc. All of that information is referred to as the “process technology”.

Enhanced Cylindricity
To create bolt-ready holes with plasma requires cylindricity measured in thousandths of an inch. To achieve this, all aspects of the plasma cut must be carefully controlled, including the lead-in and lead-out, height control, speed, acceleration, kerf offset, and plasma gases. Only ESAB can fully automate every parameter that affects hole quality.

30. While remaining Sequence direct mode, select the large, interior hole on Flange 1A. The result will resemble the lead elements seen in Part BBB’s large, interior circle. Both holes revert back to the Leads Inner-Contour setting due to the ratios being greater than 5:1.
31. Select the upper right hole on Flange 1A. This hole has a ratio less than 5:1 and uses the PHT .50 Small Holes 100 Amp file.
32. Repeat step #31 for the five remaining interior holes on Flange 1A. In the Leads Outer-Contour settings, select an arced file and select the outer contour. Your results should look similar to the screenshot below:
