Discussion

George BuLah (X) Apr 7, 2014:
if the doctors say so, this must be camera for medical purposes :)

The doctors' motto is "Do not harm." I try to follow it here too: when in doubt, pick a safe alternative.
Kasia Bogucka Apr 6, 2014:
The verb would still not be necessary if there was a comma, a colon or an 'and' conjunction. Only the last option ('and') would indicate two distinct examples. Nevertheless, I like your rendering of the term here as 'wielofuncyjne' - this makes more sense of the whole sentence.
This was the nature of my question below, Kasia. I believe that "form factor" means "as far as form (or format) is concerned." The semicolon is inappropriate as the phrase lacks a verb, making it difficult to divine the meaning of the whole thing. As 180 and 360 degree cameras have existed for a while, they might not be the runaway hits mentioned in the sentence. IMHO.
Kasia Bogucka Apr 6, 2014:
form factor The use of semi-colon in the sentence would suggest, that the 360° and 180° cameras are examples of multi-dimentional cameras, otherwise there would be a conjunction ('and') to separate those two and indicate that they are two separate items, two instances of 'the runaway hit of 2014.'
Kasia Bogucka Apr 6, 2014:
I was thinking: 2D, 3D - two-dimentional, three-dimentional, multi-dimentional; since a 360 degrees panoramic view camera brings a 3D aspect to an image, I followed this path in my answer.
asia20002 (asker) Apr 6, 2014:
I don't have any more information. Taking into account "a for factor" I would suspect that this is something different. I think "a form factor" are just physical dimensions but I may be wrong.
@asia20002: Are 60-degree and 180-degree panoramic network cameras examples of multi-dimensional cameras? Or is multi-dimensional separate from those two?
