No acabo de entender esta frase, ¿alguien tiene alguna idea?
Aquí está el párrafo completo.
Ivan Klyun’s text on ”Cubism as a Pictorial Method” and Malevich’s article on ”Form, Colour and Sensation” possess very different creative viewpoints. Both essays were published under the rubric ”Discussion Section”, and in the case of Malevich to disclaimers that the editors understood the mystical nature of the artist, but they wished to demonstrate that ”formal problems are not a self-sufficient foundation or starting point in designing the new architecture”.
Gracias.

Una idea.
... y en el caso de Malevich con los desmentidos de que los redactores [editores], comprendían la naturaleza mística del artista
disavowal = desmentido / mentís
disclaimer (Merriam Websters)
2 a : a disavowal (as of pretensions, claims, or opinions) : DENIAL
*his first defense was a disclaimer of the authorship S.H.Adams* *frowned in grave disclaimer of responsibility Marguerite Steen* b : REPUDIATION, DISOWNMENT *his contemptuous disclaimer of stuff he did not keep George Meredith*
Suerte.
(disclaimers to, literalmente "desmentido a" / "negación a")
