dynamic sounding
Geotech Dynamic sounding equipment are designed for all the Geotech multipurpose rigs and penetrometers. The equipment for automatic probing is delivered with a hydraulically driven chain driving the falling weight. The weight and drop height are according to the client specifications, according to various international standards – DPH, DPSH-A (HfA), DPSH-B (SPT).
The counting and depth registration is automatically registered within the given depth intervals by a strike counter and depth encoder.
With Geotech Module for Continuous Dynamic Probing, the operator does not stop the feeding yoke at each depth interval increment to ram the rods down, but feeds the yoke continuously while the module makes the necessary compilations.

cccccccccccccccccccccc
The book has sounding four times, including a sounding rig. However, it also uses dynamic probing.
probing - physically explore or examine (something) with the hands or an instrument; An exploratory action, expedition, or device, especially one designed to investigate and obtain information on a remote or unknown region
sounding - Sounding generally refers to a mechanism of probing the environment by sending out some kind of stimulus.[1] The term derives from the ancient practice of determining the depth of water (making a sounding) by feeding out a line with a weight at the end.
In technial dictionaries, sondowanie is sounding, but probing may be just as good.
