Glossary entry (derived from question below)
Spanish term or phrase:
agua de vertidos de la industria
English translation:
industrial effluent / industrial waste water
Spanish term
agua de vertidos de la industria
This is taken from a set of instructions accompanying an anti-rust product:
La concentración de cinc libre y acomplejado en el ***agua de vertidos de la industria***, no excederá de 10 ppm (nivel 2 según R.D. 849/1996 de 11 de abril).
I'm aware that this is a Royal Decree, but I've been unable to find an English translation online.
All help is very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Jack

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: Personally I prefer Donal's original suggestion of "industrial waste water", but of course 'effluent' is also correct. // Yes sorry Wendy, Donal originally posted "industrial wastewater" as a suggestion, stating it was a test? Then he removed it?? ?:<()

Thanks, Neil. Think I'm missing out somewhere!

Discussion
I was trying to answer a relatively easy question almost right (1 spelling error), but very quickly. I expected that there would be 3 or 4 identical answers but it would be "winner take all" situation - first answer would get almost all the agrees. That didn't work out though and I'm not going to repeat the test.
I was trying to point out how the Kudos system prioritizes speed over accuracy. Mind you, I'm not sure that much can be done about that and am sure that ProZ won't change the system in any case.
I have another test case where I managed to get the response in in 0 mins!!!
Now I'll stop making points and go back to normal answering.
P.S. Apologies to Jack for using his questions - he just happened to be there at the time.
"Industrial wastewater" gets thrice as many hits as "industrial effluent".
