| governorate kegubernuran Explanation: Governorate adalah kata turunan dari governor (gubernur), mengacu kepada wilayah yang dipimpin/dikuasai gubernur. Kita analogikan dengan: lurah -> kelurahan camat -> kecamatan atau juga: adipati -> keadipatian -> kadipaten bupati -> kebupatian -> kabupaten wedana -> kewedanaan -> kawedanan residen -> keresidenan -> karesidenan. Jadi, ada nama jabatannya dulu, baru nama wilayahnya. Governorate sangat umum di kawasan Arab (Arab Saudi, Suriah, Yaman, dst.).
