I know this is a lot more than the service book and contains other documents.
"Die Bordmappe mit allen Servicekarten werden dem Mitarbeiter übergeben."
I am unsatisfied with my suggestion of 'service documents', so does anyone have a better idea?
Thanks.

Log book
Ok the log book is in a folder, together with the operator's manual, however, the important thing is not that it's in a folder but that that folder contains the log book.
When I bought my last car here in Australia, ok it's not the UK or the US, but we're speaking English here, too, the folder with the log book was missing. However, what the salesperson was saying was that the log book was missing not any old folder with a funny name.
In English, it seems, that it's not as important what the container of something is called, but rather what it contains. That may be different in
Germany, however, the sentence could easily refer to the "Logbuch" and the meaning would still be the same (m.E. - that's German).

And why are you asking for a glass of water? Are you thirsty? Being polite? Are your hands incapable of getting yourself a glass of water? Are you bedridden? Have you been delivering a lecture?
Every second passes and every breath is taken amidst a myriad of possibilities - both in word, in deed and in the interpretation thereof.
