Hola

la oración dice así: El trazado de la línea ferroviaria fue convirtiéndose en un verdadero gráfico del modelo agroexportador representado en el país por la Sociedad Rural

a graphic illustration

I would suggest this. It's quite a common set phrase, in which "graphic" means "vivid" as well as "visual", and "vivid" captures the tone of "verdadero". So I think turning the original noun in Spanish into the cognate adjective in English fits well. "Illustration" covers "gráfico", but it also means something that enables you to visualise the model, which seems suitable to me.

agree JaneTranslates : Ingenious solution. (I think there's a train-related pun in there somewhere, but I'm too tired to hunt for it.)
