In a TV interview, Hendropriyono ended a discourse of deradicalisation of fundamentalists by saying it was up to mass organisations and "Yang mengerjakan ini dengan tangan-tangannya, ya, organisasi massa—makanya tadi saya salamin Pak Ketua Umum, tadi saya bilang, “Hebat, Kusron”."

How to translate 'salamin'? Greet? Wish? ???

Because it could be very typical/customary of Indonesian, where in other countries you should pat one's shoulder, kiss his cheek, or hug his tight, IMHO, it is best to capture both the physical conduct and its very meaning,

Hi Catherine, he should be the "Ketua Umum" aforementioned. Otherwise, if this is taken from a transcript, it could be a mistranscription of Syukron, an Arabic saying for Thanks.
