Does this just mean that the eye is a normal colour/ tone? or am I way off track?

Definition of "normotensive": "1. characterized by normal tone, tension, or pressure, as by normal blood pressure." There are plenty of examples of "normotensive eye/s" on the Internet. Example: “When faced with nerve and field changes in a normotensive eye, you have to consider non-glaucomatous causes of optic neuropathy. If the same changes occur in an eye with elevated IOP, such consideration is usually necessary.” See links below.
