Japanese term

間口表示器

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial
This term is used in material handling in the distribution industry. The context where it is described is for picking products for packing. When this indicator lights up, the picker is supposed to pick products and place them in a box. I'm not sure what 間口 means. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

shelf slot indicator

間口 denotes both an available location (口)in the shelf stack, and one that suits the width (if not height and depth as well) of the item to be stored (間). So, I think that's the term you are looking for.

Actually; to be consistent with the explanation already offered, the translation of :棚(口)should be: a 'suitable shelf slot'
Example sentence:

metal shelves slot Supplier, Supermarket shelf,Storage rack,Automatic Storage ..
