Likely that the Swedish has the same origin as the Norwegian: bòrd ei (ein), bòrda, bòrde, bòrdan (gn barð); kant, rann; striba runt um någe, naturlig hell laga; ho fèkk et fòrkle te jul me bòrd nere; ho sydde nye bòrde på kjolen; et jorstykkje sòm ligg som ei bòrd um någe a garen. It is the "striba runt um någe" that we're looking at in this particular case, "någe" being the top edge of the wall material in the example in the discussion section.
