English term

give proper credit

English to Chinese Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology) Web browsers
Use TinEye to find an image’s origin.
No matter how strong your Google-fu is, it’s hard to find out where an image on the Web originally came from—and that much harder to ***give proper credit***. Dump your image into TinEye.com, however, and the site will tell you where it came from, whether it’s been Photoshopped, and where higher-resolution versions can be found. The first 50 searches a day are free, and an extension for each major browser is available if you find yourself using TinEye a lot.

Discussion

Example sentence:

He got the credit for my hard work. As a result, he got the promotion I should.

Something went wrong...

而TinEye.com可以解决这问题。

All hinges on the words "give credit." In practically all serious (esp. academic, scholarly, or news report) writing, giving credit (besides showing appreciation) means write out precisely where/from whom the citation or image/picture comes from. Even here, the author could cite where the image comes from, or who originally made/created the image. How can the author give credit to the creator the image other than citing the name of the person or publication?
Also, "credit line" can be used.
Note from asker:
Peer comment(s):

OR:
