French to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research Shop layout
I am translating a marketing guide about changing a shop's layout between seasons. The text is for marketing students. Please find the context below:

"Quand on change d'une saison A à une saison B, il est impératif de rationaliser l'offre ainsi que les taillants."

I have so far been unable to find a satisfactory translation of "taillants" that fits in this context. I appeal to your experience to help me find the right translation.

les saillants, peut-être pour les éléments saillants ? Quoique taillants pour tailles pourrait aussi être logique.

It really doesn't seem to make much sense, which means it's down to guesswork; the only clue would be that it is likely to be a general term rather than something specific to, say, fashion stores, which makes the idea of a typo => "détaillants" more likely (and "suppliers" could make sense)...good luck!

certainly nothing compatible online and my son who is in the boutique business has never heard of it in France... Could it mean the *tailleurs* = tailors= designers? Which can be chosen differently from one season to another. Or, another thought, a piece of furniture used in the displays...
