There is not much point in trying to persuade someone who does not speak the language which translation is the best :)

I have to admit that more than one term is used in Bulgarian. But besides Nadia's argument let me add the staggering difference between 31,000 hits for 'храсторед' and 658,000 hits for 'ножица за жив плет'. It is true that these include the mechanical tool, but hedge trimmer/cutter includes that tool too. That is why I did not add 'моторна' or any other adjective as this is how the term may go into the glossary. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedge_trimmer)

If you check the link that Ventseslava Uzunova has posted, you will see that companies like Husqvarna, GARDENA, STIHL, KAWASAKI, etc. use the term 'ножица за жив плет' for this product. In your case you can also use 'моторна ножица за жив плет', because your product is a petrol hedge cutter.
