with a high volume of flow Explanation: (river) with a high volume of flow No se me ocurre ningún sinónimo conveniente. ¿Alguien más? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-06-24 03:43:30 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- \"Full\" sí, pero no me convence. \"Fast\", no, porque no se refiere a volumen sino a velocidad; igual \"wide\", se refiere a dimensiones y no al caudal. \"Big\", igual se refiere a dimensiones y no al caudal. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-06-24 03:44:41 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Con el contexto a lo mejor te solucionamos, no es tan fácil como lo pintan. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-06-24 13:03:18 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Viendo ya el contexto, esta respuesta es totalmente inadecuada frente a las bellezas de Chile. Los colegas han ofrecido múltiples posibilidades muy positivas. Exp. |

gushing, racing, surging or powerful! Explanation: some more options. I think powerful or mighty, suggested above, may be best. gushing I think says the right thing, but it's not (IMO) a very attractive word for a tourist brochure - don't know why just don't like the sound! surging is a possibility, though it might suggest that the rivers are about to break their banks and flood your lovely spot! if I have any better ideas I'll add them later. |
