Estoy traduciendo un artículo sobre la reforma de las pensiones en Europa. En él se habla del "clearing-house approach", pero no sé exactamente cómo se traduce. ¿Me podéis echar una mano? ¿Quizás enfoque de mediación/facilitación/distribución? Gracias :)

In the case of the partial privatization of pension systems, state functions may include the regulation and
supervision of funded schemes, the funding of fiscal costs in the transition phase, the provision of
some forms of guarantee, sponsorship of pension funds and the so-called clearing-house approach
(see Chapters 3 and 4 for a more accurate description). The latter is based on allocation of
managerial tasks between public and private institutions (Müller, 2007). In all these respects,
partial privatization of retirement programmes is not synonymous with a residual public role.

El término plantea realmente un problema. No he encontrado ninguna traducción comúnmente aceptada. Puede que la haya, pero no la conozco. Pero sí he encontrado un par de páginas bastante ilustrativas. Según explican, el "clearinghouse" sería una estructura central desde la que se realizan todas las operaciones (también en sentido figurado). Un primer consejo sería consultar los capítulos que menciona el mismo texto, para comprender el uso concreto en ese texto. Dependiendo de las operaciones que se efectúen (por ejemplo, pagar las pensiones como una cámara de compensación compensa cheques, o bien tener una base de datos central de las pensiones (esa sería otra acepción del término)). Suerte

muchísimas gracias por la ayuda Pablo. Seguí tus consejos y parece que el término se refería a la segunda acepción que comentas.

"Secondly, in the clearing-house model, contributions and fund choices are centrally managed by public agencies and this is expected to minimize adminstratives costs".
"A central clearing-house agency would be responsible for collecting contributions from the employer, keeping records of contributions and ensuring their allocation to the fund chosen by the worker".

Al final he optado por "enfoque de distribución central". ¿Qué opinas?
