А — мини-класс. Характеризуется длиной не более 3,6 м и шириной до 1,6 м. Такие автомобили могут быть как трех-, так и пятидверными.
В — малый класс. Длина кузова — от 3,6 до 3,9 м, ширина — от 1,5 до 1,7 м.
