draw out / identify the issues Explanation: The term is one that I have come across in French academic language, especially when introducing the subject matter of an essay, thesis or dissertation. To me, the idea (and the verb) always seemed very culturally specific to the French education system (logic, reason, academic rigour, etc.), but more recently I have realised that it is also an integral part of British academia, but this is perhaps introduced and used later in the academic cycle (somtimes as late as undergraduate level). |
