German term
Rosinenfrau

Is anyone familiar with this as the name of a sort of pastry or sweet bread? There's not much specific context, but it occurs in a 1921 Swiss German story about a Christmas visit. Other pastries are mentioned earlier, and at the end the author writes "Zwei 'Rosinenfrauen' wurden noch aus dem Weihnachtszimmer gebracht und sollten mit auf den Heimweg gehen." I assume it's a sort of raisin bread/pastry, but can't find a specific term for it.

Dough woman/dough girl in analogy to dough man/dough boy, see http://www.stnicholascenter.org/pages/breads/ orhttp://www.germandeli.com/stw.html . Another possibility would maybe be "dough doll".

I do realise that this is a slightly different product but it at least evokes Christmas and is a female. The ones I am thinking of are decorated with raisins - or rather currants (in U.K.) because they are smaller, rounder and darker.
If we were to say "currant woman", I'm not sure readers would recognise it to be a type of biscuit/cookie.
