assemblage Explanation: In inglese usiamo la parola francese. L'artista ha fatto "assemblages" prima di fare le pitture-oggetto, ma secondo le immagine online, la tecnica è più o meno la stessa. |

collage Explanation: "Collage A collage (From the French: coller, to glue, French pronunciation: [kɔ.laːʒ]) is a work of formal art, primarily in the visual arts, made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A collage may include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or hand-made papers, portions of other artwork, photographs and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas. The origins of collage can be traced back hundreds of years, but this technique made a dramatic reappearance in the early 20th century as an art form of novelty." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collage This term is traditionally the name given to pictures which have been assembled with a variety of objects, along with direct painting on the background sometimes. These images of pictures by Lucio del Pezzo seem to correspond to this well known style of art: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lucio del pezzo&hl=en&biw=9... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 days (2011-06-30 13:56:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- See bottom of this page for caption for one of del Pezzo's "collages": "Interferenza di Lucio Del Pezzo COLLAGE colore acrilico su legno 26x38cm."
