Discussion

Luisa Ramos, CT (asker) Jun 6, 2011:
My client, one of the agencies, is waiting for a reply from the Department in question, because not even they know what this is really about. I will keep posting as I receive more information.
FVS (X) Jun 6, 2011:
This seems to be about release from his commital. From your context it can be nothing else. See the references already posted, which seem good to me.
Luisa Ramos, CT (asker) Jun 6, 2011:
Yes, but not in this context I am working on. It refers to programs, treatments, no confinement or institutionalization.
FVS (X) Jun 6, 2011:
Committed has nothing to do with compromiso. It is to do with internamiento involuntario.

en caso de que el joven/adolescente tenga un compromiso dual

una sugerencia....
Note from asker:
Gracias. Entiendo que el joven no tiene compromiso algunos, más bien, las agencias que lo tratan lo tienen con él y todas las partes deberán estar al tanto de todo lo que suceda y dar su consentimiento para cualquier procedimiento.

definition

Definition A dual commitment occurs when a child or youth is committed to the Commissioner of DCF for guardianship (Neglect/Uncared For) and also is committed due to a finding of guilt for Delinquency. The delinquency commitment is for custody only and by law has no impact on the rights/responsibilities inherent to guardianship.
