Spanish to English translations [Non-PRO]
Human Resources / Feedback forms from employees
Spanish term or phrase: o que no pagasen pagas
El Sueldo bastante escaso, o que no pagasen pagas

This sentence is in a feedback form from an employee. He has just written this, there is no other context I can give. He hasn't given any other feedback. I think they are workmen. Obviously I understand that he is saying the salary is low but the second part is unclear for me.

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

neutral  FVS (X): I think pagas here refers to pagas extras, of whatever sort. // We are talking about workers' argot here. Pagas is such a term. I doubt he would say they don't pay payments, however uneducated he may be.

-> the literal translation is "or payments were not paid" - it sounds more likely and I would translate it as "or payments were not made" - there was is no mention of "extra" so overtime is not implied - simply "payment"
