Spanish term

tamboleada

Non-PRO Spanish to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature
Hi guys

I am translating a poem by a Costa Rican woman about her experience of dealing with domestic violence.

The line and preceding line are:

El día que me casé estaba equivocada...
Amaneció el otro día el me dio una tamboleada

All I can find for this is "tumbled" which could possibly be something like "he sent me tumbling".

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Alison

Bueno, del verbo "tambalear"—no de "tambolear"

tambolear is the word used to polish stones when you put them in a continuously moving barrel. The stones. This woman felt she was being shaken and banged
