This is from a loss adjuster's report regarding a truck which has suffered serious damage in an accident. The front axle and rear axle were damaged along with the gearbox. The loss adjuster includes a long list of components that need to be replaced and some of the terms in the list have proved tricky to decipher. These three words appear together and seem to refer to a single component. "Ciclis" has me stumped: it seems that it may be a type of "arandela" (perhaps a brand?) but I'm not sure.

European Spanish > British English, but all contributions welcome!

Prions? Yeah, psicutrinius. Or maybe the truck was burning biofuel made by processing parts of dead trucks! (or maybe it had been dusted with Phosmet, to protect it from warble fly larva - see http://www.plural-21.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=v... )

might be a "prión" also in which case the truck would have to be employed for carrying mad cows... and the gearbox had been infected

Thinking about it, you're almost certainly right. There are a few other typos, e.g. "Kit pión reductora". Seeing as I think it's unlikely that that there are any trucks that need to be fitted with specific sub-atomic particles, I worked out that it must be "piñón". Mistakes like that are frustrating when you don't realise they are mistakes, but funny when you do!

Could be Especially seeing as 4 of these will be required - so it may be written as a plural. I'll wait to see what other people think, but this is already better than anything I had. I may be posting a couple of other similar ones as well. Cheers

Circlip? if so, either a typo or the adjuster is talking "de oídas" (not so rare, in fact).

What do you mean? If you mean more context, I don't think it will help, but the previous term is "guardapolvo chapa palier" and the following one is "reten palier eurotraker". It's an Iveco Eurotrakker truck.
